OSDC Australia 2004

This was the first Open Source Developers' Conference. It was hosted by the Melbourne Perl Mongers on the 1st - 3rd December 2004. 60 talks covered everything from dealing with hardware in Perl, to designing cochlear implants with Python, to writing large-scale PHP. We also had talks on the Firebird Database, Mozilla XUL, MySQL?, CVS, Make, DocBook? and writing games with Javascript.

Keynote speakers included Dr Damian Conway, Nathan Torkington, Anthony Baxter, Luke Welling and Con Zymaris.

Attendance was approximately 150.
